Situated approximately 20 miles north of Charlotte is the affluent lakeside town of Cornelius, NC, where Highline Partners is planning Mill’s Market, a 239-unit Class A mixed use development.
Mill’s Market is strategically positioned in the center of the downtown Arts District of Cornelius. The Project is adjacent to the Cain Center for the Arts, a $25 million project spearheaded by the Town of Cornelius, which includes a 30,000 SF facility complete with a 400-seat theater, gallery, event spaces, classrooms, and an outdoor plaza. A boutique park is nestled behind the Cain Center and adjacent to Mill’s Market. Located on 2.3 acres, Highline recently rezoned the site and partnered with the Town to provide an additional 138 public parking spaces in the structured parking deck.
Mill’s Market’s 239 units will comprise a mix of studios, one-, and two-bedroom units in a single-building structure that stands five (5) stories tall. The Project will also contain 11,500 SF of commercial space fronting Catawba Ave., keeping in line with the commercial-nature of the corridor leading up to Lake Norman. Surrounding the commercial space will be a European-inspired alleyway with unique storefronts and outdoor seating. Mill’s Market will also provide stunning amenities including a 2 story club lounge, roof top terrace, pool court and outdoor kitchen, sauna, bike room and fitness center fronting the commercial courtyard.
The total cost to develop and stabilize Mill’s Market is currently estimated at 80 million.
