Mark Miller is the Principal and Founder of Highline Partners, a real estate investment firm focused on creative and thoughtful development in the Southeast. Mark spent the first 15 years of his career working at Lat Purser & Associates, a prominent and longstanding development firm headquartered in Charlotte, NC. There he created and directed LPA Urban, a brokerage, acquisitions and development arm that managed the company’s investments in urban markets. Over Mark’s time at LPA Urban, he grew the company into a team of four talented individuals and spearheaded numerous development and investment projects including multifamily, retail, office and industrial with over $200 million in total assets.   

Before starting his career with Lat Purser, Mark attended the University of Virginia earning a Bachelor of Liberal Arts & Sciences and played on the Virginia football team, lettering all four years. Mark grew up in Birmingham, AL and enjoys playing music in spare moments between trying to raise three girls.

David Thomas is the Director of Development for Highline Partners where he is responsible for executing predevelopment, development, and construction of Highline’s multifamily and commercial projects.  David spent the first 12 years of his career working for three different ENR top 100 construction firms spearheading project management and preconstruction services for numerous large scale construction projects. David was then recruited to Fairwood Construction to strategically increase the firm’s presence in commercial and residential construction in the Charlotte market.  Under his leadership, Fairwood quadrupled its growth and has become leader in boutique retail and residential projects.  Over the course of his career, David has managed over 125 projects totaling $1.1B in construction costs. 

David is originally from Panama City, Florida and attended the University of Florida earning a Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering. David enjoys golf and spending time with his wife, daughter and twin sons. He pulls hard for the Gators.

Kiri Hahn serves as the Controller for Highline Partners. She maintains the financial information for our numerous entities including invoicing and payments, equity draws, banking relationships and tax records. Kiri’s accounting background includes 4 years at Ernst & Young followed by 5 years as a small business owner in the health/beauty sector. Born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana, Kiri earned her bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational Design from Vanderbilt University and a masters in Accounting from Wake Forest University. She is a certified public accountant in North Carolina. Outside of work, you can find Kiri listening to true-crime podcasts, playing mahjong with friends or running after her 2 little boys.
